Mirriam-Webster’s dictionary defines flipping as: to buy and usually renovate so as to quickly resell at a higher price.
I agree with that but I also define it as turning something from one thing to another or flipping it to make it different or better.
We love finding items in flea markets that are vintage to flip. However, we also love to flip barn wood into signs for rustic decor or put a design something on a pillow or clothing. For me, this is another definition of flipping.
To make a rustic wood sign out of barn wood or a decorative pillow out of a plain pillowcase or even a decorating a plain white shirt with a design that everyone will comment on and love. This is my definition of flipping the ordinary into the extraordinary!
Flipping an item to resell is something that we just recently started doing and have found that we absolutely love it!
We love going to flea markets or garage sales (even though I haven’t been to garage sale in a while ☹️) and finding an item that we can’t believe someone is selling for that price.
I’m also a computer nerd so it’s just as exciting for me to go online and find something at a great price.
I think I will spend hours searching and googling until I find something that can be flipped.
We also have a sawmill so we make logs into lumber then make signs from it or anything else we can build with it.
We just recently made a bus stop for our 11 year old with lumber from our mill. I’ll write more about that when we’re finished. It looks great so far!
Here are a few of our own previous flipping projects: 😊
